SandStorm, the world’s largest metaverse builder community, has just made things easier for brands by launching self-serve build proposals. SandStorm plans to eventually expand its marketplace across the entire open metaverse; it currently spans 5 virtual worlds.

By partnering with virtual worlds, SandStorm has been able to release build proposals onto a marketplace where verified builders can bid for work. The self-serve proposals allow the company to play a bigger role in construction and scale within the open metaverse market.

Making it easier for brands to hire creators is a good way to provide more work for people who build things in the virtual world.

SandStorm, a community of more than 500,000 contractors and admirers dedicated to establishing the metaverse construction market, announced their 5th virtual world partnership this week with SPACE, the virtual commerce metaverse.

With these digital world collaborations, businesses can now hire SandStorm constructors to establish experiences in The Sandbox, Decentraland, Immersed, TCG World and SPACE.

“We’re thrilled that builders on SandStorm can now give brands more unique options. With our self-serve build proposals, businesses can finally hire capable builders to turn their vision into a reality with little stress. A virtual headquarters for remote work lower business overhead, a virtual shopping experience lets customers buy goods without leaving home, an event space hosts unforgettable virtual concerts, and so much more is possible.”

says Steve McGarry, CEO of SandStorm

In other words, JP Morgan is saying that the metaverse will become a trillion-dollar market and virtual worlds will have an impact on every single industry in the years to come.

Entering the virtual world of web3 is made easy with SandStorm, which will also provide support for the majority of real estate construction over the next two years.

To ensure a strong market presence, SandStorm offers individual builders and studios a comprehensive set of tools to help them start and grow their businesses.

There are 16 virtual worlds on SandStorm’s waiting list. This means that there are a lot of people who want to use these worlds. The launch of self-serve functionality means that people will be able to use these worlds without having to wait. This is good news for everyone who has been waiting.

On SandStorm, proposals for builds average $1,000 for avatars and wearables, with some full metaverse experience builds costing as much as $50,000. Within a few days of posting a proposal, similar to Upwork, a single proposal can receive 7 to 10 bids from award-winning studios and individual builders.

The brands select builders from a group of pre-vetted candidates and then hire teams that can work together to bring the brand’s vision into reality.

Just like how shared economy marketplaces, such as Airbnb and Uber, started taking off in 2008-2009, SandStorm is leading the charge for creators in the metaverse. Builders have a profile that includes reviews of their work, 3D work minted on the blockchain, and verified badges. They also have a social graph to show how popular they are.

As one of the chosen startups, SandStorm will demonstrate its self-serve build proposals to thousands of investors at the Web Summit next week. This demo will help a lot of people who build things in the metaverse to show their work to big brands.
